Climate analysis and adaptation study for Nijmegen

Nijmegen municipality was interested in its possibilities and challenges regarding urban climate adaptation and commissioned Sanda Lenzholzer and a group of 14 MSc students to make an urban climate map and an adaptation recommendation map. Furthermore, students made individual designs for places in which urban climate challenges occur and where urban renewal was planned. Their designs were used to critically reflect on the plans made by the municipality and encouraged a more urban climate centred approach in these urban renewal plans.
