The Rijnwijk neighbourhood in Utrecht is a densely built-up residential area with considerable urban climate problems. The urban heat island is felt by the inhabitants and adaptation measures are to be taken. Ten BSc thesis students first conducted a precise urban climate analysis of the area and subsequently generated dedicated design solutions for areas in urgent need for adaptation.
